Mechanical Design Engineer
About The Position
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will: Work with engineers on new product development teams Develop and revise 3D CAD models (including parts and complex assemblies) for prototype and production applications Prepare and revise technical drawings for all different types of components (machined, sheet metal, plastic / composite, tubing) and assemblies Create, perform, and review engineering change orders (ECOs) Prepare and update BOMs Prepare product specification sheets Prepare quality assurance documents Create and maintain drawing and model library in Autodesk Inventor and Vault Create and maintain Mainstream Engineering modeling and drawing standards
Requirements
- BS in an engineering discipline
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in product related mechanical design and drafting
- United States citizen required due to ITAR restrictions
- Understanding of Engineering/Mechanical principles
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) (ASME Y14.5-2009)
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor 2024 or newer
- Proficiency with Autodesk Vault 2024 or newer (preferred)
