About the position

The position involves designing and developing mechanical systems for modular data centers, power modules, and custom modular solutions, focusing on functionality, efficiency, safety, and performance. Responsibilities include performing structural and air flow analysis, creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit, conducting design reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing engineering submittals, and contributing to design standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for modular data centers, power modules, and custom modular solutions.
  • Perform structural and air flow analysis to ensure integrity and stability of modular mechanical systems.
  • Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical specifications using AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit.
  • Conduct design reviews and analysis, including FEA, to optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
  • Manage the engineering submittal process, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with customers and project management to understand project requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of design standards and best practices.
  • Research and analyze industry trends and emerging technologies for innovation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience in the design and development of mechanical systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit software.
  • Experience with FEA, CFD analysis, and other design analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of International Building Code (IBC) and International Mechanical Code (IMC).
  • Expertise in HVAC system design and analysis.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis principles and experience in performing structural calculations.
