About The Position

You will be the Mechanical Product Design Engineer for the PAC-3 production team. What You Will Be Doing As the Mechanical Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the production programs by identifying and resolving production issues, defects, and failures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement viable solutions, often in time-sensitive situations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in an Engineering related field
  • The preferred candidate shall have a sound Engineering / Technical foundation and be able to grasp complex issues quickly
  • Skilled at creating and releasing part and assembly models and detailed drawings using Creo (ProEngineer) and Windchill
  • Experience creating drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.100 standards
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5
  • Capable of performing in a fast paced, dynamic, inclusive, team environment
  • Limited Travel as necessary
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain it
  • Proficiency of Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Detail and process oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Material Review Board experience
  • Ability to read and understand hardware production work instructions
  • The candidate should possess foundational communication and leadership skills that can be developed for future technical leadership responsibilities
  • Previous Lockheed Martin and/or Missile program experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Screening and evaluating failures, defects, and production issues
  • Developing and releasing engineering drawings and documents
  • Designing subsystems and components, and developing interfaces
  • Coordinating with various departments, including Stress, Materials, Production Operations, and Quality Assurance
  • Supporting product line validations and first article inspections
