About The Position

You will be the Hardware Engineering Lead - ATWS Program for the Advanced Tactical Weapon Systems (ATWS) team. Our team drives the development, integration, and sustainment of cutting edge Electro Optical/Infrared (EO IR) systems, delivering high performance hardware that powers next generation platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering is required.
  • Project lead experience is required.
  • Proficiency with CREO (Pro/Engineer) is required.
  • Experience with developing and interpreting GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 is required.
  • Experience with PTC Windchill is required.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills are required.
  • Secret Clearance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive experience in mechanical design for both development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry is highly desirable.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are highly desirable.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize conflicting priorities is highly desirable.
  • CAM experience/training is highly desirable.
  • Experience with lab and flight integration and test support is desirable.
  • Experience on SAR programs/contracts is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the hardware design and analysis team, setting technical direction and performance targets.
  • Defining and refining system requirements, translating them into detailed hardware specifications.
  • Conducting design reviews, trade studies, and technical analyses to validate concepts and mitigate risk.
  • Overseeing prototype and production testing at the system and sub assembly level, capturing data for continuous improvement.
  • Managing non conformance MRB disposition, driving corrective actions and root cause resolution.
  • Coordinating with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to align schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Preparing and presenting internal and external design/programmatic review materials to senior leadership and customers.
  • Monitoring program budgets and schedules, reporting status, and forecasting resource needs.
  • Mentoring engineers, fostering a collaborative culture that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing.
  • Supporting multiple fast paced programs to achieve strategic ATWS objectives.
