About The Position

You will be the Mechanical Engineering Designer Sr for an Advanced Programs Missile program, with a focus on control actuation systems. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing detailed designs and layouts of the weapon, structures, and subassemblies, driving innovation and excellence in the field. What You Will Be Doing: As the Mechanical Engineering Designer, you will be responsible for supporting the Integrated Product Team in creating detailed designs, layouts, and drawings for various components and subassemblies. You will play a key role in developing and generating CREO layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and integration test articles Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM Coordinating with the IPT team, suppliers, GSC, electronic packaging, optics, and structural/thermal/material analysts to ensure design excellence Managing drawing releases, answering CRs, generating CN's, and presenting/supporting change boards and design reviews Performing design trade studies to evaluate cost, weight, performance, and structural/thermal benefits Interfacing directly with a Control Actuation Supplier to ensure design requirements, performance, and test parameters, as well as design reviews and deliverables are achieved on schedule Why Join Us Do you want to be part of a company culture that empowers employees to think big, lead with a growth mindset, and make the impossible a reality? Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in an Engineering related field
  • The preferred candidate shall have a sound Engineering / Technical foundation and be able to grasp complex issues quickly
  • Skilled at creating and releasing part and assembly models and detailed drawings using Creo (ProEngineer) and Windchill
  • Experience creating drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.100 standards
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
  • Capable of performing control actuation systems analysis and testing, as well as driving supplier execution.
  • Capable of performing in a fast paced, dynamic, inclusive, team environment
  • Limited Travel as necessary
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Proficiency of Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Detail and process oriented.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

  • Familiarity with missile systems and structures.
  • Previous experience with control actuation systems.
