You will be the Mechanical Design Engineer for the Air Dominance Program team. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing detailed designs and layouts of missile structures and subassemblies, driving innovation and excellence in the field. What You Will Be Doing As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Forward Guidance Section (FGS) IPT in creating detailed designs, layouts, and drawings for various components and subassemblies. You will play a key role in developing and generating CREO layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university, preferably in an Engineering field or related discipline, with 5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience creating drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.100 standards.
  • Skilled at creating/releasing CAD parts, assemblies, and detailed drawings via Creo/Windchill
  • Active Secret security clearance

  • Supplier Management Experience
  • Familiarity with RF antennas

Responsibilities

  • Developing and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub-assemblies, AURs, and integration test articles
  • Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM
  • Coordinating with the IPT team, suppliers, GSC, electronic packaging, and structural/thermal/material analysts to ensure design excellence
  • Managing drawing releases, answering CRs, generating CN's, and presenting/supporting change boards and design reviews
  • Performing design trade studies to evaluate cost, weight, and structural/thermal benefits
