SUMMARY The Mechanical Design Assistant supports the Engineering Manager such as purchasing, document control, delivery. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP The Mechanical Design Assistant reports to the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical industry.
Demonstrated computer literacy, required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, required.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, required.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Domestic and international travel required, 5% of time.

Nice To Haves

Chinese/Japanese proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

Supports purchasing process of the mechanical design team.
Checks price and lead time with vendors, supports to issues purchase orders with purchasing team.
Plans and coordinates delivery for purchasing items.
Assists with documentation controlling.
Assists with research and compiles project related data as required by the project managers.
Assists with client presentations and contract administration.
Performs field inspections, measurements as required.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Upholds and adheres to the Organo culture and guiding principles.
Exhibits positivity and flexibility when assigned a new task or project.
