SUMMARY The Mechanical Design Assistant supports the Engineering Manager such as purchasing, document control, delivery. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP The Mechanical Design Assistant reports to the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical industry.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, required.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Domestic and international travel required, 5% of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Chinese/Japanese proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supports purchasing process of the mechanical design team.
  • Checks price and lead time with vendors, supports to issues purchase orders with purchasing team.
  • Plans and coordinates delivery for purchasing items.
  • Assists with documentation controlling.
  • Assists with research and compiles project related data as required by the project managers.
  • Assists with client presentations and contract administration.
  • Performs field inspections, measurements as required.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Upholds and adheres to the Organo culture and guiding principles.
  • Exhibits positivity and flexibility when assigned a new task or project.
