Requirements

  • Knowledge of computer programs (lotus notes, excel, work, Oracle, EAM, and Dataserv).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Effective persuasive and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated cost vigilance and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Good typing skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two-year industrial work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle/Dataserv.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems and machine parts.
  • Previous data entry experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and parts manuals.
  • No work restrictions prohibiting lifting 50 pounds.
  • A two-year degree in related field or equivalent purchasing/sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Automatic generation of reorder information for stocked inventory.
  • Purchase order creations in Oracle and updating information on confirmed purchase orders.
  • Oversee daily activities of storeroom clerks and give directions as needed on department specific projects.
  • Review and order all handwritten parts requisitions turned in by all departments within the plant and follow up with appropriate information.
  • Control inventory dollar value by taking advantage of purchasing opportunities, economic order quantities, vendor parts consolidation and overstock reports.
  • Provide customer support to operations and maintenance departments with parts inquiries.
  • Assist in parts set up for new equipment and removal of obsolete inventory for decommissioned equipment and components.
  • Create requisitions for all contracted services.
  • Manage and document all additional inventory requests.
  • Manage reports for parts backorder and open purchase orders.
  • Manage reports for inventory turns, stock takes and cycle counting.
  • Communicate with suppliers on emergency and rush parts orders.
  • Management of AP Invoices through Dataserv and Oracle systems.
  • Updating part information in Enterprise Asset Management System.
  • Lead the inventory reduction initiatives by evaluating reorder points, overstock and 3 year no use.
  • Know, understand and be able to perform all job duties within the parts room.
  • Sending out/following up on repairs.
  • Creating direct inventory/find inventory reports.
  • May need to pick up parts from time to time.
  • Help cover the desk during vacations and weekends.
