About The Position

University Mechanical is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Project Manager for our Anaheim, CA location. UMEC offers industry-leading building information modeling (BIM) capabilities, design/build services, sustainable solutions, commercial HVAC services, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations. This position will lead mechanical construction projects safely on time and within budget for various markets including Healthcare, Life Science, Commercial, Industrial and a wide range of other markets.

Requirements

• 5-7 years construction work-related experience
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic business mathematical functions
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Effective time and detail management skills
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Organizational skills in handling & archiving technical data
• Compliance with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of UMEC field personnel assigned to the projects
• Manage field labor productivity and quality assurance
• Oversee project financial outcomes, projections, and reporting
• Handle material and equipment procurement
• Manage change orders and owner/client relations
• Monitor project cash flow and personnel management
• Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programs
• Direct and oversee the work activities of direct reports
