In this role, you will oversee mechanical construction activities within a data center environment, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence across all project phases. You will collaborate closely with general contractors, subcontractors, client stakeholders, and internal teams to drive efficient project execution. This position requires strong field leadership, coordination, and a proactive approach to resolving construction challenges.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical construction practices within mission-critical or data center environments.
  • Experience with QA/QC processes and field inspection standards.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders across construction, design, and commissioning teams.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards, OSHA requirements, and high-risk activities.
  • Proven ability to lead field teams, drive productivity, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification strongly preferred.
  • OSHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical construction oversight across project scopes within a data center environment.
  • Manage mechanical QA/QC field oversight to ensure installations meet project specifications and standards.
  • Consult with installation and design teams to support alignment across mechanical scope and execution.
  • Attend and actively contribute to whiteboard and coordination meetings.
  • Support day-to-day field construction activities across contractors and trades.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, sequencing, and key milestones.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and client stakeholders including commissioning and QA/QC teams.
  • Monitor field productivity and proactively resolve construction issues.
  • Enforce client EHS standards and site-specific safety plans.
  • Lead daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and pre-task planning activities.
  • Deliver toolbox talks to promote safety awareness and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and high-risk activity protocols including rigging, lifting, hot work, and confined space entry.
  • Oversee welding inspection and compliance to ensure all structural and piping installations meet applicable codes, project specifications, and client standards.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
