About The Position

Join our Covington, GA team to shape winning, accurate estimates that drive successful industrial mechanical projects. Your work ensures every proposal is well-reasoned, competitive, and supported by sound data. Core responsibilities Create detailed cost estimates encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and overhead for industrial mechanical scopes. Study drawings, specifications, and project documents to define scope and requirements. Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to validate quantities and assumptions. Conduct market research to monitor price trends and identify cost-effective supplier alternatives. Solicit and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers; perform bid leveling. Assist with project budgets and financial forecasts to inform planning and execution. Organize and maintain estimate files, takeoffs, and back-up documentation. Contribute to meetings with clear commentary on costs, value options, and budget impacts. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance estimating precision.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an estimator within the industrial mechanical sector.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency with estimating platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Self-directed and team-oriented with excellent organization.
• Capable of managing multiple concurrent deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred, not required.
