This role supports the delivery of mechanical commissioning activities in a state-of-the-art semiconductor fabrication plant. The position works in close coordination with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure systems are prepared for safe, reliable, and compliant operation. The role requires strong field presence, technical judgment, and disciplined documentation practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience commissioning mechanical systems in a mission-critical environment (e.g., data centers, critical infrastructure, industrial facilities).
  • Proven ability to perform mechanical system walkdowns, identify issues, and coordinate corrective actions across multiple project stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience conducting mechanical inspections and functional testing to validate system readiness and support startup and turnover.
  • Strong commitment to safety, with experience working around rotating equipment, pressurized systems, and hazardous processes while following all safety protocols.
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate commissioning documentation, including reports, checklists, punch lists, and as-built records.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Mechanical or commissioning-related certifications preferred.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a systematic commissioning process for mechanical systems, including verification, testing, calibration where applicable, and validation to ensure compliance with design and operational requirements.
  • Perform detailed mechanical system walkdowns to identify deficiencies, variances, or incomplete work, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions with engineering and construction teams.
  • Conduct mechanical inspections and functional testing to confirm system readiness, support startup activities, and facilitate system handover to operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to validate mechanical system performance and support resolution of commissioning issues.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and procedures, monitoring and mitigating risks associated with rotating equipment, pressurized systems, and hazardous processes.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update commissioning documentation including reports, checklists, punch lists, and as-built records reflecting system modifications or enhancements.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
