About The Position
WSG Energy Services is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Technician to support mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for an urgent 40MW temporary power project in Texas, with anticipated transition into a larger 200MW power generation project. The Mechanical Commissioning Technician supports mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring mechanical systems are verified, preserved, and ready for start-up.
Requirements
- Millwright Journeyman ticket
- Industrial Mechanic
- 2+ years commissioning or completions experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Caterpillar 3516H will be prioritized.
Responsibilities
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, and hazard assessments
- Ensure permits and isolation requirements are met
- Perform system walkdowns, punch verification, and equipment checks
- Support static commissioning activities and system readiness
- Assist with start-up and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment
- Complete commissioning check sheets and documentation
- Support vendor activities and inspections
- Assist with equipment preservation and turnover
