We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Commissioning Lead to oversee the commissioning of mechanical systems in a cutting-edge semiconductor facility. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all systems function according to design, meet regulatory standards, and are delivered to the highest levels of quality, safety, and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of commissioning HVAC, fire protection, chilled water, cooling towers, compressed air, process utilities (PVAC, PCW) experience in semiconductor, data center, or other mission-critical environments
  • Working knowledge of SCADA/BMS controls (hardware and software)
  • Strong safety awareness and experience leading risk-based decision making
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • OSHA 30-Hour Safety Certification is required.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • BCxA certification – Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), QCxP or BCxP certification highly regarded & preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead mechanical commissioning activities across all phases of the project.
  • Conduct functional performance tests for HVAC, Fire Protection, Chilled Water, Cooling Towers, Compressed Air, and Process Utility systems (PVAC, PCW)
  • Verify that installed equipment and systems meet design specifications, operational requirements, and regulatory codes
  • Perform risk assessments and implement safety control measures before initiating major testing and commissioning efforts
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety-first mindset throughout the team and worksite
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with contractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and project stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Prepare and maintain accurate commissioning documentation, including test results, deficiency reports, and close-out packages
  • Work with SCADA/BMS system integrators to confirm proper mechanical system controls and responses
  • Ensure all activities are completed with high attention to detail and in compliance with internal quality standards
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders through verbal and written reports
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
