Requirements

  • Education & Experience : Associate’s degree in drafting design or a technical program, and/or 1-3 years of drafting experience (we’re open to equivalent experience if you’ve got it).
  • CAD Expertise : Proficient with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD systems – we’re looking for someone who can create accurate, detailed drawings and bring designs to life.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge : Experience with manufacturing machinery is a plus!
  • ERP Familiarity : Experience with ERP systems, especially Infor SyteLine, is a huge advantage.
  • Tech-Savvy : Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for documentation and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset : You’ve got a “can-do” attitude, are analytical, and excel at finding creative solutions.
  • Communication Skills : You’ll be working with cross-functional teams, so strong communication and collaboration skills are key.
  • Attention to Detail : Accuracy is everything – you’re someone who prides themselves on delivering top-quality work every time.

Responsibilities

  • Design & Innovate : Use SolidWorks (or your preferred CAD software) to collaborate with our engineers, creating new designs and enhancing existing ones to meet engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
  • Create Detailed Drawings : Develop comprehensive 3D models and detailed drawings with all necessary views and dimensions to ensure precision manufacturing.
  • Documentation & Collaboration : Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to keep everything aligned and up-to-date. Your work will directly support product development and ensure we maintain technical excellence.
  • Prototype Development : Work hands-on with our team to build prototypes, applying your skills in machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication to bring concepts to life.
  • Continuous Improvement : Take an active role in our continuous improvement efforts, always seeking innovative ways to optimize design, production, and overall workflow.
  • Teamwork : Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, manufacturing, inspection, and testing to ensure high-quality standards and efficient project completion.
