About The Position
We are seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician for a manufacturing company in the Jacksonville, FL area that offers room for growth. This role is best suited for someone who is confident working with tools and equipment, troubleshooting issues, and handling mechanical tasks with minimal supervision. Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to learn quickly. Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm Pay: $18.50/hr Job Duties Use of hand tools, power tools and basic measuring tools to produce quality products Follow all safety policies, regulations, and procedures Position requires work duties be performed in a manufacturing/warehouse setting Troubleshooting machinery
Requirements
- Two or more years’ experience in related industry or field
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring tools
- Experience troubleshooting/repairing equipment or machinery
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a time sensitive manner with strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to do some heavy lifting (50#), bending, and standing for long periods in a warehouse work setting
- Team player mindset required
- Must be able to work in a hot (non-climate controlled) work environment and wear steel toe boots
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and be willing to submit to a national background check
