About The Position

The Mechanical Assembly Technician for Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) at INDO-MIM is responsible for the assembly of mechanical components and systems, ensuring quality and efficiency in the production process. This role involves collaboration with design engineers, implementation of quality control measures, and continuous improvement of assembly processes. The technician will also provide training and support to team members, contributing to a culture of innovation and learning within the company.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical or related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proven experience in the assembly of Special Purpose Machinery or similar complex systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on complex projects.
  • Experience with quality control and assurance processes, particularly in a precision engineering context.
  • Experience with automated assembly systems for Special Purpose Machinery.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing and interpreting design drawings.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed assembly plans and procedures for mechanical components and systems.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to understand product specifications and requirements.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures during the assembly process.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify product compliance with design specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in the assembly process.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement changes and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into the overall system.
  • Provide technical support to other departments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assembly processes, changes, and improvements.
  • Generate reports on assembly progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Train assembly team members on new processes, techniques, and equipment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the assembly team.
