Mechanical Assembler (Swing Shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm)

Job Purpose: Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 1-2 yrs. experience in a high volume Assembly manufacturing environment.
- Must be available for OT and weekend work as required in addition to minimum 40 hr. /wk.
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Must have the ability to assemble products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
- Must be able to properly use manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Must apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
- Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practices.
- Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
- Must display the ability to read, understand and follow manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) in English.
- Must able to do mechanical assembly.
