Multiquip is seeking a hands‑on, safety‑focused Mechanical Assembler to support the build and testing of high‑quality machinery and equipment. Requirements

  • Hands‑on mechanical experience; hydraulic system familiarity preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and air‑powered tools.
  • Ability to safely operate hoists.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, numbers, and measurements.
  • Clear, basic communication skills for working within a production team.
  • Reliable, safety‑minded work habits with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, measurement in feet/inches).
  • Demonstrated skill in fitting, aligning, and assembling mechanical parts.
  • Ability to recognize part variances or issues and report concerns promptly.
  • Ability to work on‑site in Carson, CA on a full‑time day shift schedule.
  • Ability to follow safety rules, standard procedures, and quality expectations.
  • Regular standing and walking for up to 10 hours in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for handling parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Required vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Exposure to chemicals such as hydraulic fluid, gas, diesel, or cleaners.
  • Work environment includes loud noise; hearing protection is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with mechanical testing or functional checks is a plus.
  • Ability to read from electronic or printed diagrams or instructions if needed.
  • Basic comfort learning internal systems or documentation tools (training provided).

Responsibilities

  • Assemble machines, equipment, and sub‑assemblies following prints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
  • Follow detailed assembly procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Remove small amounts of metal to achieve precise fit between parts.
  • Drill, tap, or ream holes as required by the build process.
  • Align components and secure them using bolts, screws, or rivets.
  • Install moving parts (shafts, levers, bearings) and test for smooth, proper movement.
  • Support testing and analysis of completed products to ensure performance and safety.
  • Read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation.
  • Safely operate hoists, hydraulic presses, forklifts, and power buggies.
  • Fuel and test completed products or assist during final testing processes.
  • Handle machinery and tools with care and attention to detail.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
