About The Position

As a Mechanical Assembler you can expect to be our go-to for driving continuous improvement in the operations and assembly process. Will provide on the job training (OJT). All work is performed in explosive handling areas. • Work under direct supervision. • Weigh and press inert & energetic materials. • Set up and use analytical balance. • Perform inert assembly operations. • Minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work. • Set up and use powder press for pressing operation. • Some minor set-up capability for specific equipment. • May have some basic soldering experience. • Performs various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies. • Uses visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units. Receives detailed instruction on new assignments. • Install sub-assemblies. • Must display proficient dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices. • All work is performed in explosive handling areas. • If required, attend offsite training classes to maintain certification requirements. (i.e., JSTD). • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Able to work under direct supervision.
  • Must have the ability to understand, speak, read and write in English,
  • Must display proficient dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.
  • Must be able to lift-up to 50lbs
  • The essential duties of this position require adherence to U.S. Government export control regulations. Accordingly, candidates must either be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) or be prepared to collaborate with the company in securing the necessary U.S. government export authorizations.
  • All employees of all entities that make up the Contractor’s team, whether subcontractors, consultants, or anyone who works with or on behalf of the Contractor will be citizens of the U.S.” Accordingly, only U.S. citizens will be qualified to fill these roles.
