Responsibilities

  • Float between SMT, Post Wave and Assembly.
  • Assemble chassis, racks, and other final assembly hardware, and install finished assemblies or subassemblies in them.
  • Operate equipment and tools relative to accomplishing assembly, stuffing and prep of prefabricated electronic assemblies and other electro-mechanical components.
  • Adjust or trim materials or hardware to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
  • Perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies.
  • Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units.
  • Set-up, change over, operate and perform daily maintenance of complex SMT equipment and all associated tooling.
  • Perform SMT Kitting and Assembler/Tester functions including assembling parts, prepping parts, various assembly testing, soldering, loading/unloading SMT feeders, and part counting/estimating.
  • Follow instructions on lot travelers, operation instructions, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, sample assemblies, and follow verbal instructions to determine specific duties relative to assembly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of Mechanical Assembly experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with soldering
  • Minimum 1 year of CNC Machining experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in an SMT environment
  • Previous soldering experience and/or certifications
  • Willingness to work overtime to support business needs required.
