Key Responsibilities Assemble mechanical parts, components, and subassemblies according to established procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality standards. Operate hand tools, small power tools, fixtures, and other specialized equipment safely and effectively. Perform mechanical rework, adjustments, or repairs on units that do not meet specifications. Inspect assemblies for proper alignment, fit, and functionality; identify and report any deviations or defects. Follow detailed written and verbal instructions to ensure accurate and consistent assembly processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency. Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to resolve assembly issues and implement process improvements. Qualifications Minimum two years of mechanical assembly experience, or equivalent technical training. Strong proficiency with hand tools, small power tools, and mechanical equipment. Ability to read and interpret detailed instructions, engineering drawings, and diagrams. Solid understanding of mechanical components, fasteners, and assembly techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to rework or troubleshoot assemblies when required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing assembly tasks. Ability to lift, carry, or move components and tools typically up to 25–40 lbs. Manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination for detailed, repetitive tasks. Work Environment Production or manufacturing environment with exposure to tools, equipment, and moderate noise levels. Use of appropriate PPE required.
