About The Position

The San Marcos, TX facility is looking to fill a Mechanical Assembler III Role. You will plan and perform a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly, tests, fabrications, and inspection operations on various products in standard and non-standard environments to maintain flow of work. You will work onsite at our San Marcos, TX Facility, starting with 1st shift hours for training purposes (7am-3:30pm) for up to 90 days, then transitioning to 2nd shift hours (3pm-11:30am) Monday - Friday. The role involves reading, interpreting, and following blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions, operating hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment, maintaining inventory of product in workstations, performing quality work checks, identifying product defects and recording identified defects, reworking and/or repairing assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

  • Typically, a High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant manufacturing and/or assembly experience.
  • 4 or more years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and/or engineering drawings.
  • 4 or more years of experience with general hand and/or power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly, tests, fabrications, and inspection operations.
  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
  • Perform quality work checks, identify product defects, and record identified defects.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as required.
