About The Position

The Mechanical Assembler II performs a wide variety of mechanical production sub-assembly and assembly operations of a semi-skilled nature to build up and assemble difficult and complex units. What You Will Do: Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials. Utilize written instructions to accurately complete assembly tasks. Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment efficiently and safely. Perform quality checks on work, identifying and recording any product defects. Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes. Adhere to quality standards and established safety procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and safe work area to ensure a productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Capable of working in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Proficient in the use of various hand and power tools.
  • Keen eye for detail to identify defects and ensure high-quality assembly.
  • Precision in following engineering specifications and instructions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and rework products as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following safety protocols.

Responsibilities
