POSITION SUMMARY Perform mechanical assembly operations to produce compressors and other subassemblies at required quality standards while achieving maximum efficiency. JOB FUNCTIONS Include the following, but other duties may apply. Assemble units using standard hand and power tools to include air-powered tools by reading from schematics, drawings and diagrams. Communicate effectively to their immediate supervisor the status of needed parts to produce units. Possess high quality standards. Perform co-worker’s job functions during absences within the department. Maintain work environment in accordance with Lean 5S standards and perform tasks in accordance with company safety standards. Maintain personal conduct within the guidelines of the employee handbook. Use any specialized tooling that is required in respective area. Complete any necessary certifications if required to do so. Heavy lifting (up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance). Maintain a working knowledge of workmanship standards as well as the ISO quality system. Utilize these practices in everyday activity. Problem solve through root-cause analysis and other methodologies. Maintain change documentation. Regular and reliable attendance. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE High school education or equivalent; OR one year of related experience. English fluency and able to communicate with others effectively. General understanding of piping, tubing (stainless steel) swaging and belt alignment. Can adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics for placement of parts. Proficient in reading and interpreting standard measuring devices such as tape measures, scales, squares, etc. Able to identify and safely operate standard hand, power and air tools. Able to follow directions and work independently. Possess high quality standards. VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE General understanding of custom bent stainless steel tubing and related functions. General understanding of compressor and motor installation and alignment. General understanding of overhead and/or jib crane operation. Working hours are 6:00am to 4:30pm EST., Monday through Thursday, occasional overtime and weekend hours will be required. The noise levels in some manufacturing facilities frequently may exceed the normal dBA. Work conditions may include elevated noise levels requiring hearing protection and extreme temperatures, both high and low. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee will be required to wear safety glasses and possibly hearing protection
