About The Position

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience are required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing experience
  • Experience with interpreting schematics and/or technical drawings.
  • Experience reading and/or interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Intermediate computer skills in terms of typing, navigating screens, and learning new software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to set up, assemble, conduct basic troubleshooting of the station/machine, and load parts.
  • Demonstrate the proper use of simple hand and machine tools, including basic troubleshooting of machine setup and function.
  • Learn to accurately read and follow procedures, routing, and other work instructions.
  • Responsible for quality product standards with no defects.
  • Able to identify part defects and escalate as needed.
  • Responsible for building conforming parts while maintaining target output adherence and expectations.
  • Responsible for complying with applicable elements of quality systems and having a working knowledge of how they apply to the product being produced.
  • Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events, as required.
  • Participate in audits with positive communication practices.
  • Acquire and maintain applicable skills/knowledge/certifications as required.
  • Maintain and communicate the needs for accurate inventory levels of all materials at the workstation.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in coordination with 5S and cleanliness standards.
  • Rotate to different workstations throughout the shift as business needs change.
  • Complete all job duties and responsibilities within the scope and skill level of the job description.
  • Job duties and responsibilities support department objectives as well as individual growth opportunities, which may entail completing work not specifically listed in the job description.
  • Check work methods and results for conformance to standards and routers.
  • Communicate nonconformances as required.
  • Report to the lead or supervisor on work progress and updates, including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
