About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team and play a key role in assembling our level and flow control products. In this position, you will follow job specifications, identify nonconforming conditions, and collaborate with the Team Lead and/or Supervisor to address any issues. You will also contribute to identifying and reducing waste in the workflow to improve overall efficiency. The Mechanical Assembler I will: Execute standard work with support from others on complex tasks. Operate and inspect Value Stream workstation output. Operate and inspect all tools and equipment necessary to execute standard work. Test and calibrate simple assemblies according to specifications. Execute standard work with an acceptable degree of quality and limited quality discrepancies, showing a trend of improvement. Execute standard work efficiently on simple tasks with support from others on complex tasks. Identify problems in execution of standard work and request help from others on resolution. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50lbs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or sketches.
  • Able to use material handling equipment to safely move heavy and lengthy parts.
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable working with power tools and hand tools.
  • Ability to learn and perform various tasks-assembly, testing, painting and blasting.
  • Some duties require walking, standing, bending, or climbing for extended periods.
  • 6 months assembly experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Basic computer literacy using Microsoft Windows.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use basic measurement equipment (ruler, scale, calipers, tape measure).
