And our in-house assembly academy makes it easy for new employees to learn how to operate the various types of tools and equipment required to complete the job. Mechanical assemblers must be able to lift, push, and pull a significant amount of weight and the work can be physically demanding at times.   • Able to operate various types of tools and read blueprints and drawings.
  • Follow and understand standard work, training guides, and acceptance criteria to meet customer and QMS requirements.
  • Follow and understand build boards and Kanban system requirements.
  • Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product or equipment.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
  • Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.).
  • Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills.
  • An acceptable combination of education and experience.
