Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and materials science
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations such as MIL-STD or ASME
  • Knowledge of DoD sustainment and acquisition processes
  • Knowledge of DoD Technical Data Package (TDP) creation and DoD acquisition requirements generation
  • Ability to review and understand technical drawings and identify critical characteristics
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues for mechanical systems and components
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information, resolve technical issues, and present to senior ranking officials
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field such as Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SysML and digital engineering processes and tools such as Cameo, Teamcenter, or related tools
  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Experience with DoD Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E)
  • Ability to coordinate and manage Engineering Technical Assistance Request (ETAR) processes and procedures, including AFMC guidelines and the use of AF Form 107 and AF Form 202
  • Master's degree in Engineering
