On-site role supporting undersea defense programs

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (active clearance preferred)
• 2+ years of job-related experience, OR Master’s degree with 6+ months of related experience
• ANSYS and MATLAB for engineering analysis
• Shock analysis (Grade B preferred)
• Knowledge of materials and metallurgy
• CAD modeling and mechanical drawing development
• Understanding of manufacturing, fabrication methods, and applicable government/industry standards

Responsibilities

• Perform structural, dynamic, and shock analysis of undersea hardware
• Utilize ANSYS and MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and validation
• Conduct Shock Grade B analysis in accordance with DoD requirements
• Develop and maintain mechanical models and engineering drawings using CAD tools
• Apply expertise in materials, metallurgy, and material specifications to ensure design compliance
• Support prototype development, fabrication, and test activities
• Ensure designs meet technical, government, and industry standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers on analysis tools and methodologies
