About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of company fleet & construction equipment including telehandlers, lulls, bobcats, and other heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel and gas-powered engines, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Post-secondary certificate or degree in engineering OR training as a mechanic (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience with small engine and heavy equipment repair.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel and gas fleet/machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs on construction equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel and gas engines.
  • Determine and source required parts, tools, and materials for repairs.
  • Complete all required shop paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
