The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for conducting machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Ensure the smooth operation of machinery in the department by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines.
Performs mechanical skills including but not limited to electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to sounds to locate cause of trouble.
Study blueprints or manuals to determine the correct way to re-install parts.
Communicate timeframe for repairs to operators, department supervisors, and/or management.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
2 plus years of experience in Maintenance within a production environment.
LOTO authorized training required upon hire.
Ability to read blueprints.
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics required.
Knowledge of general machine shop practice required.
Basic PC skills - Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
PLC knowledge a plus.
Welding experience preferred.
