Requirements

  • Construction experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry our detailed written or oral instructions
  • Ability to properly use/operate hand tools
  • Ability to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), Certificate from college or technical school; or twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Must have a current valid driver's license and have a safe driving record, be able to operate hand tools to repair equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic equipment diagnosis as requested by equipment manager or operations supervisors.
  • Crawls under or climbs in or on vehicles or equipment for maintenance and repair inspections.
  • Repairs, removes, replaces moving parts and other components of vehicles, equipment or machinery.
  • Disassembles, repairs, removes, and replaces parts of engines, transmissions, drive assemblies, brakes, clutches of vehicles, equipment or machinery.
  • Tunes, adjusts, regulates equipment engines, valves, pumps, carburetors and other mechanical components with variable setting.
  • Lubricates and services vehicles, equipment or machinery and maintains accurate record of such service.
  • Requests repair parts and lubrication supplies as needed.
  • Helps workers of other crafts when not engaged in lubrication, service, maintenance and repair work.
  • When not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor.
