About The Position

The Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the companies diesel/gasoline engine trucks. This person will also perform preventive and corrective maintenance, failure analysis, diagnostics, repairs, inspections, assembling and rebuilding of all components or equipment (e.g.: engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation, electrical codes). Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and deadline-driven
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Supply Management, or 3-5 years’ experience in a similar job role
  • Ability to work in inclement weather, long hours, and lift at least 40 pounds repeatedly.
  • Physical demands of the position include sitting, standing, bending, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, diagnoses and repairs a variety of equipment including; diesel/gasoline engines, standard and automatic transmissions, high pressure pumps, low pressure pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, PTO’s, chemical metering systems, 12/24 volt electrical systems, equipment cabs and controls, chassis and suspension, rims, tires and wheels, electro-mechanical equipment, and pressure equipment and various other types of oilfield related equipment.
  • Execute required procedures for preventative maintenance.
  • Perform inspections required by company and government entities.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Repair and refurbish hydraulic and pneumatic power equipment.
  • Read and follow repair manual.
  • Read and interpret basic measuring equipment.
  • Perform repairs as listed in manuals.
  • Operate and maintain power equipment.
  • Order parts as necessary for equipment with prior approval.
  • Install and/or replace new or reconditioned repair parts.
  • Basic testing of equipment for proper operation.
  • Complete proper paperwork as assigned.
  • May be required to assist other maintenance employees.
  • All other duties as assigned.
