About The Position
Mechanic For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $28.00 - $38.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Requirements
- Mechanic Candidate should have one to five years of experience and/or training in vehicle/construction equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experiences that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a busy environment independently.
- Attention to detail and pride in your work is a must.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- Work extended hours outdoors in a variety of weather conditions out of service van.
Nice To Haves
- Diesel Engine experience preferred
- CDL preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, rebuild and repair vehicles and equipment
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment
- Truck tire handling and repair
- Iron work with torch cutting and welding
- Occasionally ordering parts
- Operation of a forklift
- Prepare and maintain records and reports
