About The Position

Krise Transportation is hiring a Mechanic to ensure school buses and vans are in safe operating condition for transporting children. This role is critical to the link between students and schools, operating within a team and family atmosphere where safety is paramount. Mechanics are recognized as essential members of the team, ensuring vehicles are maintained in top shape. Requirements

• Must have your own basic hand tools
• Must have or be willing to get a Class 7 PA Inspection License
• Must have (or be willing to get free training for) a Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake Endorsements
• Must have and maintain a satisfactory driving history based on review of state motor vehicle records
• Must have and maintain satisfactory criminal history and child abuse history checks as required by law and the Pennsylvania Department of Education
• Must pass an initial and routine annual school bus driver physical with tuberculosis testing as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
• Participate in and pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition and perform well while transporting kids
• Keep vehicles in tip-top shape
• Maintain vehicles in top shape and always in safe operating condition
