About The Position

As a Mechanic at SavATree, your focus will be ensuring all equipment and vehicles are ready and operating efficiently through proper maintenance and repairs. A typical day may include: Performing preventative maintenance and major repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment Coordinating repairs and maintenance with Managers and field specialists Reviewing Vehicle Inspection Reports to prioritize work and address issues promptly Ordering and receiving parts and supplies, completing required paperwork for the office and vendors Training field specialists on equipment maintenance and safe vehicle operation whenever possible Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment in the shop and yard This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in caring for their own fleet and equipment while supporting a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • Experience in small engine repair and two-stroke engine maintenance
  • Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience
  • Experience operating and maintaining aerial lift (bucket) trucks
  • Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps
  • Your own basic tools for engine repair and maintenance
  • Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, diagnostic charts, and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues
  • A valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
  • Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Welding experience a plus
  • ASE certification a plus
