About The Position

This role is primarily responsible for rebuilding hydrostatic pumps and motors, as well as rebuilding and certifying final drive assemblies.

Requirements

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing and operations or related education/training.
  • Must have basic understanding of hydraulic principles.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent walking and/or standing is required.
  • Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying of parts.
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hands-on experience specifically with testing and repairing hydrostatic pumps and motors is preferred.
  • Previous experience with testing and repairing drivetrain components is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Test and troubleshoot a variety of hydraulic components, including hydrostatic pumps and motors.
  • Diagnose and repair hydrostatic assemblies, including pumps, motors, and final drives.
  • Perform comprehensive disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of gear pumps and motors.
  • Operate and maintain specialized diagnostic tools used for hydraulic and mechanical component testing.
  • Collaborate with other teams to provide technical feedback on component performance and/or failures.
  • Ability to accurately use and read micrometers.
  • Enhance professional growth and development as technology advances.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
