About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic with experience in the manufacturing industry to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with manufacturing processes, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is a 3.5 month contract to hire. Hours: 7:30am to 3:30pm (OT work also available)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Install, adjust, and align machine components to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation of repairs and inspections.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and new machinery installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing all work.
• Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Order and track parts, tools, and supplies as needed for repairs.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
