About The Position

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for installing, repairing, and providing preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment in the plant. The Maintenance Tech works with all hand and power tools in the plant. Changes pumps, motors and other equipment. Operates mobile equipment such as Broderson Crane, forklift, truck, etc. The Maintenance Repairman works on and underneath tank cars. Installs, repairs, maintains pumps, motors, blowers, conveyor systems, etc. Reads, interprets, and implements instructions from maps and drawings Welding/pipe repair/gasket repair Utilizes hoists Fabricates steel, metal, piping, etc. Installs flanges Operates Broderson crane, electric pallet jack, forklift, truck, box truck, boom truck, dollies Removes nuclear sources Utilizes come-a-longs Lifts/lowers/carries pipe Utilizes vices and grinders Removes plugs and caps underneath tank car Ascends/descends platforms/ladders/steps/stairs/rail cars/scaffolding/towers Repairs steam leaks Lifts/lowers/carries propane tank Wears harness and respirator Conducts preventative maintenance checks. Performs repairs, installations and preventative maintenance duties during plant shut downs Check the condition of tank shell for leakage, test tank car coils with steam, and check inside and outside valves and all other necessary equipment to comply with FRA Regulations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years of industrial maintenance
  • Welding experience
