Responsible for identifying and repairing any malfunctioning vehicles, CMVs, equipment, or plant and ensuring the ability to safely relocate or operate them as needed. Perform skilled repair and maintenance operations using equipment such as hand and power tools, hydraulic presses and shears, and welding equipment. Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices. Examine parts for damage or excessive wear Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. Inspect, test and measure completed work using devices such as hand tools and gauges to verify conformance to standards and repair requirements. Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. Assemble gear systems and align frames and gears. Install and adjust bearings to maintain, repair, or overhaul mobile equipment with mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems. Weld or solder broken parts and structural members using electric or gas welders and soldering tools. Clean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent. Record maintenance and repair information in company’s fleet maintenance software. Conduct road calls as needed for equipment, vehicles, or CMV’s. Must be able to determine and accomplish tasks, priorities, and goals with little or no supervision Must be able to operate vehicles, mechanical devices, and equipment in a safe and effective manner Must be able to take orders, instructions and guidance from management and supervisors Able to work flexible hours and shifts and be reliable and punctual. The employee must also be willing and able to work long hours up to the maximum hours allowed of services permitted by DOT and state law, including but not limited to, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and company policy. Lift 80 pounds, including but not limited to lift chutes and other related CMV/job related items. Able to regularly climb heights of up 13 feet on a ready-mix truck, using the truck steps and ladder, work on a truck catwalk at an elevated height, in a ready-mix truck you must step down into the truck cab.   • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid State-Issued Driver’s License, Class A or B, preferred
  • Standard mechanical tools to work on any vehicle, CMV, or equipment, required
  • Candidates must be willing and able to undergo a pre-employment background check, MVR overview, physical/DOT and drug/alcohol testing. Ongoing compliance is required.
  • Proficiently read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to understand and read GPS from company issued tablet.

  • Demonstrate the ability to perform job functions in accordance with Company policies and management directives, including adherence to personal appearance standards, safety protocols, and P.P.E. requirements, while promptly reporting any unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents to the plant manager.
