About The Position
We're hiring a Mechanic for Meadows at Middlesex Golf Course! At Troon, we believe our Associates are our greatest strength and competitive advantage. Whether you have a specialized trade in the industry or possess a special knack for solving complex technical issues, there’s an exciting opportunity for you to apply your skills at Meadows at Middlesex Golf Course! Ideal candidates are analytical problem solvers and self-starters. They have extensive knowledge of small engine repair, including but not limited to equipment safety, inspection experience, and preventative maintenance. Additionally, this position will utilize technical hands-on skills such as setting heights, sharpening blades, welding materials, making cuts, and more. Requirements
- 5 years of progressing mechanics experience – preferably some golf course-specific experience
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be organized, motivated and efficient with a high attention to detail
- Knowledge of gasoline, diesel and 2 cycle motors
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of grinding equipment and proper reel and bed knife grinding techniques.
- Must keep thorough records of preventative maintenance and inventories
