About The Position

The Full-Time Mechanic will perform a variety of maintenance and repairs to a variety of equipment including but not limited to 2-cycle equipment, diesel engines, mowers, trailers, and trucks to maintain the optimized life of the equipment. Additional Responsibilities Inspect, lubricate and service vehicles and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled on all equipment. Ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely at all times. Perform routine housekeeping duties that are related to tools, materials, shop, and work areas. Understand the primary operation of the equipment. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork/PM. Work in a safe environment and promote all safety procedures including all OSHA requirements. Keep adequate records and maintain documentation in line with agreed standards. Plan and manage personal time and resources for the maximum benefit of the company. May assist in other areas of maintenance in the shop as needed or as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in mechanical operations
  • High school degree or GED
  • Candidate must be able to read and write English
  • State Driver’s License and insurable with the company’s agent
  • Ability to operate a truck and trailer combination proficiently
  • Lift 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally lift/move more
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to communicate effectively, problem-solve and troubleshoot
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Mechanical knowledge including focus on SNOW AND LANDSCAPING EQUIPMENT: 5 years (Required)
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Medical DOT Card (Required)
  • Maintain the physical fitness level necessary to complete assigned tasks
  • Meet all applicable Federal and State mandated labor laws
  • Strong self-starter, taking initiative

Nice To Haves

  • Diagnostics and maintenance experience is preferred
  • Experience in the landscaping field is preferred
  • Own your own tools (preferred)

  • Inspect, lubricate and service vehicles and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled on all equipment
  • Ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely at all times
  • Perform routine housekeeping duties that are related to tools, materials, shop, and work areas
  • Understand the primary operation of the equipment

  • Work in a safe environment and promote all safety procedures including all OSHA requirements
