Make weekly, monthly, and annual inspection of school buses, or as required, in order to ensure a minimum of road failures and a maximum of safety and economy of operation. Report to the Head Skilled Trade Mechanic any failure of the bus which could make it unsafe for transporting students. Take in-service training courses where possible and practicable. Keep records and make reports as required. Obtain and keep current a Michigan CDL Group A driver’s license with applicable endorsements (P and S). See that all buses are started, both A.M. and P.M. Back buses out of garage, A.M. and P.M. Repair district vehicles as needed to maintain daily operation. Repair buses as needed. Work collaboratively with Auxiliary Service staff to promote a positive and successful transportation operation. Perform other duties as assigned.
