The position involves ensuring that MTI's maintenance operation functions effectively by maintaining and repairing equipment in a safe and economical manner, adhering to regulations, meeting customer requirements, maximizing the utilization of mechanics and equipment, and ensuring employees follow company policies and procedures.

Ensure all equipment is maintained by Martin policies and procedures.
Ensure all write-ups are repaired daily.
Ensure preventive maintenance is performed daily.
Coordinate with terminal supervisor, shop foreman, and the safety department.
Train and cross-train in all areas of shop.
Complete duties as assigned by the terminal supervisor and/or the shop foreman.
Maintain a clean and safe workplace.

High School Diploma or equivalency.
Three years' work experience as a mechanic.
Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and make repairs.
Knowledge of standard materials, tools, and equipment.
Skill in the use and care of tools.
