About The Position
As a Mechanic at StandardAero, you will play a crucial role in the aviation repair and maintenance sector, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for repairing and overhauling gas turbine engine components, which is vital for maintaining the safety and reliability of aviation services. Your work will involve using a variety of hand tools and equipment to perform essential tasks such as blending, chasing threads, deburring, and coldworking metals. You will also be tasked with fitting and assembling machined metal parts and sub-assemblies, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications and standards. In this position, you will engage in the complete check-in process, reviewing documentation to identify the status of engine components and determining if any modifications or airworthiness directives need to be incorporated. You will dismantle engine components and accessories, taking careful measurements and documenting your work with pictures as required. Your attention to detail will be critical as you inspect parts to determine their repairability and route them to the appropriate areas for further action. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all necessary parts are available for assembly, placing orders as needed, and conducting final compliance checks before releasing products.
