About The Position

Requirements

• Ability to analyze heavy equipment malfunctions and apply appropriate repairs
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair vehicles and follow safety instructions and directions
• Proficiency with hand tools and other equipment
• Excellent active listening, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle

Responsibilities

• Perform small engine repairs (gas)
• Conduct gas, diesel, and hydraulic repairs
• Troubleshoot and diagnose needed repairs for all items of equipment
• Work with conveyor systems
• Act as a heavy equipment mechanic
• Maintain record keeping and other related administration requirements
• Be well-trained and certified in Lock-out and tag-out procedures
• Be trained and certified in confined space requirements
