About The Position

Join our team! Now offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time Mechanic/Vehicle Technicians! Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years we have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years technical instruction in diesel or auto mechanics is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam.
• Must be able to spend a minimum of eight hours on feet.

Nice To Haves

• Welding and torch experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle or be willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair gasoline engines and other powertrain components.
• Repair hydraulic brakes, steering and suspension systems, electrical systems, and diesel emission systems.
• Use scan tool and laptop technology.
• Follow reasonable instructions from shift leader.
• Work independently and/or with a team.
• Perform routine truck inspections and maintenance of fleet equipment.
• Help maintain an effective and clean work environment.
• Must have own tools or ability to obtain own tools to complete all job functions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
