About The Position

Salary Grade: NC08 / Salary Range: $37,782.00 - $66,120.00 - All recommended salaries are based on each applicant's qualifying education and related experience in combination with the position's budgeted salary. The maximum hiring rate for this position is $57,177. This is an extended posting through May 30, 2025, for Mechanic - Vehicle/Repair Technician II (VERT II) positions in Division 1, Pasquotank County. Multiple VERT II positions will be filled from each extended county posting. Interested applicants will only have to apply one time to be considered for all our VERT II vacancies in each respective county during this time frame. However, if an applicant is interested in applying for a VERT II position in more than one county, they will need to apply to each respective county posting for which they are seeking employment. These are permanent NCDOT positions with full benefits including health insurance, retirement, vacation and sick leave, etc.
