About The Position

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a technician in the renewable energy sector. This role involves operating mechanical production machines, performing maintenance and repairs on complex machinery, and ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and quality standards. The technician will play a crucial role in supporting the company's mission to create sustainable energy solutions and contribute to a greener future.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent understanding of API laser tracking.
  • Surveying experience preferred.
  • Experience with Total Station and PC-DIMS preferred.
  • Diploma in a related field or combination of education and experience required.
  • High degree of competence in the use of SAP Software systems.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate production machines in a broad environment.
  • Organize and use machine-related tools and equipment relevant to production.
  • Plan and lay out work, prepare components or semi-products, and monitor related hand-stock.
  • Process components or semi-products/products according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform basic machine-related CNC/SPS programming as required.
  • Conduct basic or specifically defined maintenance operations.
  • Cooperate with maintenance technicians and/or external service providers in repair issues.
  • Operate various types of mechanical production equipment/technology as needed.
  • Receive and perform work assignments, following oral and/or written instructions.
  • Accurately report findings of inspections to operations and supervisors.
  • Document, organize, and retain all findings of evaluations and inspections in a timely manner.
  • Interpret drawings and sketches to determine necessary tools and materials for assignments.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on all equipment and operating systems within the facility.
  • Inspect lifting equipment to determine safe operating conditions.
  • Maintain records as required.
  • Fabricate, weld, and braze materials as needed.
  • Install piping and conduit as necessary.
  • Enter and maintain data for operating maintenance work order and log systems.
  • Work under the direction of supervisors, engineers, and contractors as needed.
  • Assemble, verify dimensions, and disassemble components or setups as required.
  • Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures.
  • Provide technical direction and training for lower classifications as required.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly, returning tools to proper storage after use.
  • Support and apply team concepts in daily activities.
